Whether it’s finding the right balance of work and play; really being in sync with your soulmate; or pulling together the art and furnishings that turn your house into the home you always wanted; the journey is fun, but the destination can truly be described as “the sweet spot.”

To that point, visit Terry & Sandy Welker’s newly redecorated home, filled with mostly local artworks collected during the 33 years they’ve been married. Terry’s studio will be open – you won’t believe that his monumental mobiles come from such a compact space … like a ship in a bottle! Frances Turner will join us, too, showing incredible art dolls that meld her Southern roots and African American heritage with consummate sewing skills, richly patterned fabrics and historically accurate details.

This late afternoon party will feature an array of interesting hors d’oeuvres; a stellar selection of beers, wines and libations; and a literal “sweet spot” – a buffet of bonbons and truffles, created by Sandy’s sister, Confectionery Queen Libby Balsamo.
